From the windows I make out,
occasional crossing of a bus,
zooming by of a few cars.
Further away I pick out,
loud bass from the pub down the street,
laughter of teenagers fills the gaps,
a few wisps of conversation caught by my ear.
Nonetheless the loudest sound I hear,
soft breathing from my nose,
steady beating of my heart.
At peace I call it,
tranquillity I have it.
