Almost two times three-hundred and sixty five days have passed,
in anticipation I prepare for the trip home,
mixture of excitement and nerves,
two companions nonetheless calms me,
what will be awaiting upon arrival?

Leaving autumn and the cold behind,
arriving to the heat and humidity,
will it be familiar or tinged with unknown?

For sure, family beckons,
home-cooked food and seafood looming ahead.
A holiday homecoming for sure,
looking forward to it.
